There’s just 2 months to go until our big family adventure to England and Scotland and I’ve finally managed to hash out our itinerary. I really wanted to go to Ireland too to see the Cliffs of Moher, and Wales to visit Cardiff so that I could see the whole of the UK, but there just wouldn’t have been enough time; maybe another day. This holiday was a little tricky as I tried to find activities and accommodations that would be suitable for my 3-year old daughter as well as my 60-year old mother. Our plans to stay at Thornbury Castle had to be cut as children younger than 12 aren’t allowed. Plenty of other stuff from our old itinerary had to be taken off as well. That’s okay though because we found other activities to replace them.

We’ve got a great mix of things to do but our itinerary is heavy with playgrounds, churches and gardens. Activities that I’m most looking forward to are a day trip to Blenheim Palace as well as a ride on the Jacobite Railway in Scotland. So without further ado here is my overly planned itinerary!

  1. Oh there are so many places in your itinerary I would love to visit, particularly the Cotswolds! For London, can I suggest you go to the Museum of London instead of the transport museum? I loved how the Museum of Londen takes you through the history of the city! Oh, and don’t skip Greenwich, it’s my favorite part of London and the food at the market is sooooooo delicious… Have a great trip!

  2. Sounds like an amazing trip! Can’t wait to read about it when you get back 🙂
